I had the opportunity to provide the graphics package for Sam Barlow High School’s Gym this past year. This was a pro bono gig and I had so much fun stepping outside the “pixel” to give the gym a face lift. We replaced the cloth American Flag, the Mt. Hood Conference banners and State Championship banners (that were gathering dust on the walls) with vector graphics printed and installed directly onto the walls. We also added paws and Bruins as vinyl graphics all around the gym! AtoZ Graphics and Issam Abushakrah did a wonderful job with the printing/installation of the vinyl graphics.
The Gresham-Barlow School District is where our kids have attended school for the past 7 years and it is where my husband taught before we even had kids. He currently serves as a Principal at Sam Barlow High School. We bleed “Blue and Gold” in this house. #BruinPRIDE!
I also have provided and continue to provide help for things like the Honor Roll Board each semester, posters, promotionals, programs, banners, and quite a lot of web support over the past 21 years as well – all pro bono.
In addition to my volunteer hours, I was also hired to provide GBSD their logo years ago (way back when my husband was still a science teacher). I still feel lucky that the district seeks out my help on projects here and there and I love knowing that I can help (pro bono or otherwise) to support the school district that is full of such wonderful people, staff, kids and families. (The cute guy in the glasses is my better half.)
Gresham-Barlow School District (GBSD)
Here is a recent project I was hired for with the district. These are posters highlighting some of the amazing educators that work for GBSD. They will be printed as 3 foot by 4 foot displays. There is also a small AD for GBSD’s HR Department sporting their new logo and QR Code. The logo (bottom right of each poster) is also from my business work portfolio here.
