begin at $350 for web development work for the
simplest of splash pages - or one page sites.
The below bid is a sample estimate for a small
business basic web site with up to four linked
.htm pages and a single simple FLASH animation
on the home page. This bid also includes site
optimization for search engines. Your final bid
will be based on your requirements and will be
submitted to you for your review.

PROJECT
TIME LINE
After
receipt of order by way of a signed
web site agreement and initial payment due,
and once all required information is submitted
to Mindy Schmidt Imaging Services for the web
site, the first working mock up of the new site
will usually be posted within 5-10 business days.
New sites are first posted at MSIS's server with
a secure log in for clients - for site review
and usability testing. After client direction
has been addressed by MSIS and the final approval
is given- the new web site will be posted to it's
server.

On average from the time a client submits all
required copy, images, logos etc. digitally -
MSIS has a web site that is ready to go on it's
server within 10-14 business days. Many times
much sooner.

PROJECT
DESCRIPTION
The
design and development of a new web site. This
includes up to FOUR linked .html documents and
an effective flash animation on the home page.
Any copy and images required for inclusion on
this web site are required digitally.
( CD, ZIP DISC, E-MAIL ATTACHMENTS, OR UPLOADED
TO SPECIFIED SERVERS.) More
than four .html pages will require an additional
fee. There is not a difference in cost for site
redesign vs. new web site design.
All web work will be posted on your secure server
( your client area created here at mindyschmidt.com
) prior to upload for site usability testing.
Only after final approval by e-mail or in writing
by the client will the site be uploaded to it's
server.
Note on SEO: ( Search engine optimization ) All
client web site's index/ home pages are optimized
by way of strategic meta tag and keyword placement
and are submitted to search engines manually.
Requests for additional pages to be coded and/or
submitted to search engines will be bid separately.
Pay per click Campaigns can also be bid separately
as part of a maintenance agreement. For

RIGHTS
All
rights are subject to the terms and conditions
of this project and are based on the
web site agreement that is required prior
to any work being done. All work is also performed
under the
Code of Fair Practices of the Graphic Artist Guild.
Please review this information thoroughly

or concerns. These terms and agreements are meant
to protect the Client as well as the Artist.

PROJECT COSTS
The

The

* Each project is custom bid. Additional pages
or features will be included in the formal bid
prior to acceptance of each project.
If
you wish to include in this project an on line
quotation form or a customized feedback form that
is sent to your e-mail from your site, an additional
fee would be assessed for that programming. (
For a standard contact form with up to 5 fields
a fee of $150 would apply ). For more detailed
forms up to 50 fields the fee would be $300. Here
is a sample of a detailed form created for a client's
quote page.

Hosting,
Domain Name Registration and Maintenance
Domain
Name Registration:
( $10.00 annually due at project start)
This is to reserve www.yourname.com for 12 months
at a time.
Web Site Hosting: ( $60.00 annually
due at project start )
This is for the storage of your files on the
host server
Site
Maintenance:
Maintenance
on a new web site is usually included for the
first 30 days after publishing. After this time
MSIS will either a.) require a maintenance contract
to continue caring for the site for the Client*
OR b.) will invoice a minimum fee on a per request
basis. See the terms and conditions of the web
site agreement section "Site Maintenance"
for more information.
* This fee
is dependent on the size and scope of your web
site. As a rule monthly maintenance fees average
$20.00-$35.00. This fee retains MSIS to keep your
site's design in tact while addressing any changes
or alterations requested by the Client within
24 hours.
Note:
As a reseller of hosting and registrar
services MSIS passes on her discounts to her Clients.
For new web sites MSIS offers both domain name
registration and hosting for a $60.00 annual fee.
This includes setting up your desired e-mail accounts.

APPROACH
COSTS
Mindy
Schmidt Imaging Services requires that 50% of
selected project costs be submitted with a signed
web site agreement prior to any work being done.
The balance is to be paid upon final client approval
and web site upload. Monthly maintenance fees,
if the maintenance option is selected, can be
paid in any increment convenient to the client.
Maintenance fees may also be paid to PAYPAL made
to mindy@mindyschmidt.com - 100% of the first
year of Domain Name Registration and Hosting Fees
are also due at project start up. Hosting and
Domain Name Registration fees will be invoiced
each year on the anniversary date of your original
registration.
If
this is a site redesign, and the domain name and
server hosting is already established, Hosting
and Domain fees need not be part of the bid.

MISCELLANY
A
copy of this quote would be customized to your
project and would be submitted in hard copy form
once accepted for signatures and your records.
Estimates
are good for a period of 60 days from bid

NOTE:
Web sites take an average of 45-90 days to be
recognized by all major search engines and directories
once coded with keywords and Meta tags. Your site's
listing is ultimately determined by the traffic
to your site, the competition to and with the
key words selected, the number of sites your web
address is listed on or linked to, and the meta
tag and key word optimization - which is included
in this bid for the home page.
It is my goal to make sure your site is found
by anyone looking for it within these parameters.
It is the client's responsibility to advertise
and provide the web site information on printed
materials to the public and to their customers.
For
Clients with web sites that are finding difficulty
ranking well initially, MSIS can assist in setting
up placement campaigns with Yahoo and Google to
ensure higher traffic. These services are relatively
cheap and are well worth the investment. ( The
Client sets the budget for the daily/monthly click
costs. )
With all these
pieces in place- you will find the world wide
web a wonderful sales tool and a value added resource
to your patrons.
